Chin is spoken by over 600,000 people in Myanmar and another 300,000 in India. With over 125 people groups in Myanmar, the Chin are considered an ethnic minority, and live in the hills and mountains. Though previously launched in 2008, the Chin FireBible now needs a reprint. For the launch, the Bibles had to be carried in on horseback due to its rural setting. The FireBible’s notes provide guidelines, suggestions, and help for Bible students, and gives them a Pentecostal perspective on key doctrinal points. God is using the Chin FireBible to shape the church in Myanmar, and we hope you will join us in providing a reprint for the Chin church.

Mooré is one of many languages spoken in Burkina Faso, which is in West Africa. Neighboring countries include Benin, Togo, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Mali, and Nigeria. the Mooré Bible was previously launched in 2007, and over 25% of the Bibles were sold at the launch. The Mooré FireBible is widely used throughout Burkina Faso. We are currently securing licenses to provide a new translation. In most cases, the national church requests a reprint when the Bible stock is getting low or when there are no more Bibles at all.

Tsonga is a Bantu language spoken by the Tsonga people of Southern Africa and Mozambique. We are currently securing licenses to begin translating the Tsongan FireBible. We work closely with the Bible Society in the country to secure the rights to use their scripture text in our FireBibles. We always make sure to use a scripture text that is widely accepted by the national church. After this, we can begin the translation process where we work with teams overseas to translate the FireBible commentary into their own heart language.
The Amharic FireBible launched in 2011, and a reprint is needed. It was initially printed in Belarus and shipped through the Suez Canal to the capital city. Missionaries who worked during this project believe it was a miracle it arrived safely. At the beginning of the project, they did not have access to a digital Bible, so we also digitized their Bible for them. The FireBible has been completely accepted and embraced by all churches in Ethiopia. Brother Yonas, the General Secretary of the AG at the time, said “In the whole world, preaching the gospel is vital but especially in Ethiopia because there are so many Muslims that come to Christ when they see miracles happen and see there is a power that delivers and helps people. This Bible, with its commentary and Pentecostal perspective will help us maintain the Pentecostal experience in our church”.
We are raising funds for the Slovenian FireBible to be available in Slovenia. The translation process has recently begun. Our FireBible team works closely with translation teams overseas who translate the FireBible study notes into their own heart language. This phase is usually the longest, because of how tedious translation and formatting can be. The multi-step process ensures the Bible is as accurate as possible.

The Quechuan FireBible will be provided to Peru. Quechua is also known as Runasimi, which translates to the “people’s language.” It is the most widely spoken indigenous language in Peru, and in Cusco is often regarded as the purest form of the language. Many Quechua speakers do not have written biblical resources since Spanish is the primary language used in education and politics. The Quechuan people are desperate for training materials and have little exposure to the Word. The FireBible is a 1-book library that will meet this need and allow pastors to understand the Bible in the context of their own heart language.
“It’s very important for us to be able to read the Bible in our own language, the language of our heart. Many times, we don’t understand the Spanish language as we read but in Quechua, we understand. The Quechua FireBible is going to be a weapon and a strong learning tool in our hands.”
The translation process has recently begun for the Lingala FireBible. Lingala is a Bantu language spoken in the northwest region of the Democratic Republic of Congo. During the translation process, we work closely with translation teams overseas who translate the FireBible into their own heart language. This process helps the people understand the Bible in the context of their own heart language.
We are currently securing licenses to begin translation for the Swedish FireBible. We work alongside the Bible Society in Sweden to secure the rights to use their scripture text in our FireBible. We make sure to use a scripture text that is widely accepted by the national church. After securing licenses, we can begin translating the FireBible commentary and study notes into the Swedish language. This process usually takes the longest to ensure the Bible is as accurate as possible.
